Have you heard about the UN Sustainable Development Goals (a.k.a. the SDGs or the Global Goals), but wondered how to integrate them into your brand's strategy? Maybe you aren't sure how they can be applied to your business or where to start? Maybe your C-suite executives aren't yet convinced the Global Goals have value? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this webinar is for you.

At Sustainable Brands, we believe that the UN SDGs are an important framework for sustainability and value creation. That's why we've invited leaders from the SB Member Network, who have already embarked on the journey to implement the Global Goals into their brands, to talk about their successes and challenges. Join us and draw rich insights from their experiences – insights you can use to chart a path for your own brand.

Claus Stig Pedersen, Head of Corporate Sustainability at Novozymes, is recognized by the United Nations Global Compact as a Local SDG Pioneer for his work to align business with the SDGs. He will share insights on Novozymes' alignment with the Global Goals at different levels within the company (e.g., purpose, strategy and operations). Claus will also share why Novozymes integrated the Global Goals into its brand including how this was achieved, the challenges encountered along the way, and what was learned from those experiences.

Charlene Wall-Warren, Director of Sustainability at BASF, will discuss how her company was actively involved in the development of the SDGs as a member of a working group. During the webinar, she will share how BASF views, contributes to and utilizes the UN SDGs. Charlene will also share why BASF aligned selectively with the Global Goals - choosing the ones that are most relevant to its business, particularly those related to hunger, clean water and sanitation, renewable energy, good jobs and economic growth, innovation and infrastructure, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production patterns, climate action and partnering.

James Sullivan, Head, Global Sustainability Center of Excellence, SAP will share how his company is embracing the SDGs, and how SAP empowers its customers to take action related to each goal. Jim will describe collaborations with others and how collective action can lead to success.

What You Will Learn:

  • Whether the SDGs are right for your business
  • Where and how you can start adopting these Global Goals
  • What kind of quantifiable results corporate leaders are seeing when they adopt and integrate the Global Goals into their business
